Does fasting affect productivity?

With the blessed month of Ramadan only a month away, a question pops in my head: Does fasting affect productivity adversely?

I don't know about you, but fasting tends to boost my productivity! Having long hours of work uninterrupted by breakfast or lunch (or brunch for some of us) and their lazy aftermaths helps me achieve a lot of work. I guess the key is to have proper suhoor before going to bed, or waking up at least 30 minutes before fajr for a good meal packed with carbohydrates which tends to give you slow but consistent boosts of energy throughout the day.

What do you think? Does fasting affect your work life? Any advice on how to curb the low energy syndrome which affects most Muslims during Ramadan at work?

I am not going to lie, sometimes you do feel the hunger but alhamudulillah, you hang in there looking forward to reward from Allah(swa). But most of the days, your body begins to adjust and indeed waking up for suhoor helps. When am at work, my colleagues always ask me during ramadthan if am hungry and apologies a million times for having their lunches in front of me but i guess whats makes me strong is the reward from Allah and breaking my fast with my fellow brothers and sisters. For suhoor, i tend to have some porridge and bread (high in carbs to keep me going through the day. Keeping busy diverts your mind away from thinking about food. Overall like with every deed that we do, preparation for ramadthan in advance is the absolute Key.
